Planning A Yellowstone Fly Fishing Trip - Gibbon River - Part 16
This is another image taken on the same day as the picture shown in
yesterday's article. Here you can see the aquatic vegetation much better. It's
located just right to fish a dry fly over it. The water looks a little on the low side.
You can see where there doesn't appear to be any one particular area that's
best. Of course, when your on the water, you can see much more contrasting
types of water. Some areas may be too shallow to hold fish but for the most part,
your apt to catch a trout just about anywhere you present your fly.
Such conditions provide a very pleasant and easy way to fly fish. I guess you
could call it the lazy man's way. As mentioned before in this series of articles on
the Gibbon River, your not apt to set a record for a large trout here, but there's
plenty of them. The best thing about it is that it's never crowded.
