Planning A Yellowstone Fly Fishing Trip - Gibbon River - Part 4
This is the beautiful Gibbon River on an early Summer morning. What more
could anyone ask for? Angie is making a cast to a short riffle where plenty of
relatively small, but eager and willing trout will take her fly. The trout are not all
small. Every once in a while you will pick up a nice size brown.

As far as you can see, not another angler is in sight. We have found this same
situation on the Gibbon River many times. It's not unusual to be able to catch
thirty or forty trout in a half day's fishing on this stream. You may not have one
over sixteen inches, or even over fourteen inches, but plenty of them near those
sizes exist and sometimes one of the larger size categories can be caught.
