Yellowstone Season Opening - Weather

West Yellowstone Montana's weather for the opening day, starting tonight - the
forecast calls for rain showers/snow showers and a chance of thunderstorms in
the evening, then rain and snow showers after midnight. Snow accumulation of
up to 3 inches is expected. Snow is expected above 6000 feet, which is most all
of the area. Low temperatures will range from 35 to 45, 30 to 35 in the
mountains. There is a 90 percent chance of precipitation.

Opening Day, Saturday:
Snow showers with rain showers are expected in the morning, then rain showers
are likely. Saturday afternoon should have snow showers and a slight chance of
thunderstorms. Accumulations of snow is possible according to the forecast.
Snow level should be around 6500 feet. Saturday highs should range between
40 and 50. There is a 90 percent chance of precipitation. Saturday night should
be mostly cloudy, with a 50 percent chance of rain and snow showers.

The forecast isn't all that bad. There shouldn't be any extremely cold
temperatures and as long as the rain doesn't fall constantly throughout the day
you should be able to get some fishing in.
